Monte di Rota
The Monte di Rota estate is positioned, completely isolated, on one of the highest hilltops in the territory and its magnificent views stretch over the Chianti vines all the way to Siena. Its peacefulness is total no noise of passing cars, only a relaxing view into the distance: forests, vineyards, old farms and small villages surrounded by cypress trees.
All our holiday homes have private gardens with barbecue and access to a large infinity pool with extra childrens pool. They are surrounded by a large wooded park in which one will find a children's play area and a boules court. The wood-fired sauna allows an experience of genuine well-being during every season.
The estate consists of two main houses and a smaller isolated cottage in the wooded parkland:
- The Palazzino (4 bedrooms, sleeps 6-8) is an old villa dating back to the eighteenth century, and was until the 1940s the summer residence of a noble family.
- The Casa Vecchia is an older building, a large farmhouse built in the Middle Ages, now divided into three apartments:
- the Campo apartment (3 bedrooms, sleeps 6) on the ground floor
- the Scala apartment* (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4) on the 1st floor
- the Ponte apartment* (2 bedrooms, sleeps 2-4) on the 1st and the 2nd floor - The Fienile (1 bedroom, sleeps 2), once a barn and now a small cottage hidden in the parkland, is a nest of intimacy and peace, perfect as a romantic getaway for couples.
* The apartments Scala and Ponte are interconnected and, upon request, rentable together (combined make 4 bedrooms, sleeps 6-8).
